The Worker’s Defense Network will serve as an emergency network of people who are committed to mobilize 1.) in response to abuses to workers and the oppressed and 2.) in advocacy for better conditions for workers and the oppressed.
We will not only respond to bosses and business owners who punish workers for political activity, but also to those who create hostile, abusive workplaces. We will retaliate against racist, sexist, LGBT-phobic, xenophobic employers. We will help migrant workers who face raids and deportations. We will stand up for sex workers who face danger in the streets. We will help workers unionize their workplace. We will advocate for more jobs, better pay, better workplace conditions, and better benefits. We will show neo-nazis that they’re not welcome on our streets.
